Exterior Repaint & Deck Staining | V3 Painting

This exterior project paired a full repaint with deck staining on a striking Lexington home. Painted brick, dark trim, and detailed wood accents needed a finish that would look sharp and hold up through Kentucky's humid summers and freeze-thaw winters.

Preparation drove the whole job: washing down surfaces, scraping and sanding failing areas, spot-priming bare spots, and protecting windows, stone, and landscaping before any color went on. Each elevation gets different sun and moisture exposure, so we matched products and prep to the conditions on every side of the house.

Out back, we rebuilt the finish on the elevated deck — cleaning and prepping the boards, then applying a durable stain and seal that protects the wood while letting the grain show. The before-and-after on the deck tells the story: from weathered framing to a clean, sealed surface ready for years of use.
